As we announced back in June, Moonfire will be donating all publisher’s profits from the sales of Loren’s 2019 collection of stories to benefit the Black Storytellers Alliance. Moonfire Extends Publishing Promotion to Benefit Black Storytellers Alliance

Minneapolis Indie Publisher to Donate Profits from Sales of “What Haunts Us” through end of August.

Moonfire Publishing LLC, an independent book publisher in Minneapolis, Minnesota announced it is extending a special promotion of “What Haunts Us,” by storyteller Loren Niemi. Moonfire will be donating all publisher’s profits from the sales of Loren’s 2019 collection of stories to benefit the Black Storytellers Alliance. The donation will be made from all sales of “What Haunts Us” from June 12 through August 31, 2020.

“What Haunts Us” is the 2019 release written by award-winning storyteller Loren Niemi. This first collection of Loren’s stories won the 2020 Midwest Book Award for Fiction in the Fantasy/ SciFi/ Horror/ Paranormal category. The Midwest Independent Publishing Association awarded the Gold at the 30th Annual Book Gala on June 27, 2020.

People are encouraged to purchase “What Haunts Us” from their local independent bookseller. In the Twin Cities, bookstores include Eat My Words in northeast Minneapolis; Magers & Quinn in Uptown, Minneapolis; Boneshaker Books online; Subtext Books in Downtown St. Paul; and Next Chapter Booksellers on Snelling and Grand Avenue in St. Paul.

The book is also available online through Amazon in paperback and Kindle. The title is also for sale on Smashwords, for those who prefer a wider selection of formats for e-books.

The Black Storytellers Alliance (BSA) was founded in 1976. The Alliance is an organization of master storytellers, educators, and community supporters dedicated to maintaining the oral storytelling tradition as practiced by African people in the Diaspora. BSA provides training for those interested in using the African based storytelling methods to reach their audience.
