Congratulations to Eat My Words, Best Used Book Store in the Twin Cities! CityPages announced their annual Best of the Twin Cities on July 29.
Located at 1228 2nd St. NE Minneapolis, MN 55413, Eat My Words Books is well-loved by local writers and book lovers. When you’re in Minneapolis, you’re well advised to stop by and browse their 25,000 books in cozy surroundings. Currently open during the COVID-19 pandemic, mask up and check out great deals. Eat My Words carries a wide variety of used books, as well as new publications from Minneapolis and other local authors. Comfy chairs and wi-fi, too. They are happy to fulfill pick up, mail, and nearby delivery orders if you call or email with your reading list.
Through the end of August, Moonfire Publishing is running a special promotion of “What Haunts Us,” by storyteller Loren Niemi. As we announced back in June, Moonfire will be donating all publisher’s profits from the sales of Loren’s 2019 collection of stories to benefit the Black Storytellers Alliance. We’ve now extended the end date – we will donate proceeds from all sales of “What Haunts Us” through August 31, 2020.
When will you have another opportunity to buy an award-winning great summer collection of ghost stories, at an award-winning used bookstore, while supporting a Twin Cities Black-focused arts organization all at the same time?
Like winning the trifecta, you might say!
Eat My Words has plenty of copies of Loren Niemi’s Midwest Book Award Winner “What Haunts Us” in stock. Call the shop at 651-243-1756 or you can stop by from 10 am to 8 pm Monday through Saturday, noon to 6 pm on Sundays.
Moonfire Publishing’s promotion directly benefits The Black Storytellers Alliance (BSA). Since 1976, the Alliance’s master storytellers, educators, and community supporters have been dedicated to maintaining the oral storytelling tradition as practiced by African people in the Diaspora.
